Zink Acquires Scotsman Mid-Ohio

The Zink Corporation announced today they have signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire Columbus, OH., based Scotsman Mid-Ohio, a distributor of Scotsman Ice and Kold Draft. The deal closed on April 28th.

Scotsman Mid-Ohio has built an impeccable reputation serving the commercial ice machine markets in Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. “We have built this company on the principle that if you treat your customers and employees with integrity, and offer outstanding service and products, then you have a great chance for success,” stated Tom.

Brian Tarpy to Lead Zink Hospitality

Zink Hospitality, a division of the Zink Corporation, is pleased to announce Brian Tarpy has joined the company to lead its hospitality business unit. Tarpy comes to Zink having spent the last 20 years holding senior management positions, most recently as VP of Sales for Charter Furniture and prior to that as Regional Sales Director at Shelby Williams. Brian, a 1993 graduate of Providence College, resides in Columbus, Ohio with his wife and two children.

E-Source Miller Hosts Poker Themed Training Event

E-Source Miller hosted a “Train & Play” Poker themed event with TriMark.  The attendees rotated around 3 different trainings stations and then answered questions to receive a playing card.  At the end of the night, the one with the best poker hand won 2 seats to a Dallas Mavericks game!

E-Source Miller Hosts Training on the New connex MerryChef Speed Oven

E-Source Miller hosted a live, hands-on training of the new connex® speen oven from MerryChef.  The training sessions were offered at 3 different times to allow more customers to attend.


Prostart Culinary Competition

Vader attended the annual ProStart Culinary Competition for Minnesota High School students in March, our Chef Tim Kovacs was a head judge this year. Students involved in ProStart earn scholarships to attend college for hospitality and culinary arts.

As one of the head judges for the state competition held at St. Paul River Center, in beautiful downtown Saint Paul Minnesota we enjoy the chance to connect with and mentor the next generation of hospitality entrepreneurs in our industry.

Vader & Landgraf was awarded Rep of the Year by Antunes at the NAFEM Show!

Redstone Hosts Outside Sales Committee Meeting in New Utah Office

Our sales team met in our new Utah facility for their quarterly planning meeting in March. It was great to show everyone the new building, do some team building and get ready for the next quarter!


Kain McArthur Hosts Welbit Roadshow

Kain McArthur hosted a Welbilt/Ali Road Show in late December that had over 150 customers!   Chains, Grocery, C- Store, Dealers, Consultants, Schools, and many operators.   We are still reaping the rewards of this investment.

Matt Swain was asked to attend a global meeting at Convotherm’s HQ in Germany to offer his insights to the USA market.  Matt was part of an exclusive group that included representatives from around the world.

Kain McArthur Announces Mike Hanock as Partner

Kelly McArthur and Matt Swain welcome Mike Hanock’s new leadership role with Kain McArthur as Vice President and Partner of Kain McArthur. Mike has been with Kain McArthur for 15 years and previously held the role of Territory Manager in Eastern Missouri and Iowa.
